last few weeks of summer in pictures

Dane was in summer school and before the fall semester started we had 2 weeks off of school and I am switching jobs.
We went up to Swan Valley with my family and stayed with the Olsen's.
It was a lot of fun and the guys did a lot of fly fishing.
Before we headed to Idaho for 4 days my family stopped in Salt Lake and we hung out downtown for a few days.
in Idaho the girls (mom, faye, tess and karina) went to Jackson Hole for the day and took this old time photo.

After Idaho we drove back home with my family to spend the last week of our vacation at the beach and hanging out with my fam.
We had a lot of fun.
Brooke wasn't too excited about the jersey we got for Charlee that Bret will put her in for game days.

dane did a ton of surfing that week

one of the days we went down to the San Diego Zoo and then after Bret and Brooke told us about this place called Hodad's and it was awesome! the shake was heaven and the onion rings are 2nd to Bubbas in Kauai and the Burger was huge! we spit one-- we loved it, doesn't it look so good?

the rest of the time we spent with my family or at the beach

Books. Barnes and Noble

I ran over to Barnes and Noble to pick this book up so I can read it before I go to see the movie.
I didn't realize it comes out very soon!

While I was there I looked through these leatherbound classic books
they are so pretty and have that classic look to them
I would love to have the collection even though I have not read most of them.. if I get them it will help push me to read them right?
don't they just look cool?

however i think my favorites are the clothbound penguin classics

these are so pretty especially the penguin classics for children...
these feel so whimsical compared to the B&N classic leatherbound look

(i think the peterpan one is my favorite cover)

I know pioneer day was over a week ago
(its been a crazy week remember)
but here is the only picture from Pioneer day...

Jaci and I wanted to get together with our friends in the ward and do a BBQ
the thing is when you are newly married and going to school.. most of our apartments have a maximum capacity of 3 people. Entertaining in our apartments can be a little tight.
Luckily Sean (danes little brother) was off to california for being awesome in football which left the Barton Residence open for a last minute BBQ and setting off some fireworks.
We cooked up some burgers and hot dogs and the guys all chatted while us girls laughed and talked about everything. I had a blast with these couples.
we really do have the best people in our ward.
These guys make me laugh I had so much fun.

Thanks Dane for going along with this idea
and thanks Jaci for helping me get everyone together super last minute!
